The long and short of it is, I am a history geek; movie buff; musical aficionado; lover of all things Patrick Wilson, Neil Patrick Harris, and Lee Pace; addicted to Jane Austen novels and their cinematic adaptations, William Shakespeare, Harry Potter, The Vampire Chronicles, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and vampire novels, films, and television shows.

My greatest interest of all is history. My favorite study subjects include the following:
the American Civil War, specifically the battle of Gettysburg · the Tudor dynasty, specifically the reign of Elizabeth I · the American West, specifically its Indigenous peoples and Bleeding Kansas · American Military History, primarily the Revolutionary War, the aformentioned Civil War, and the Second World War; and · the Titanic disaster, one of my very first interests as a child, thanks to my father and a book in our family library dated 1912 which chronicled the sinking and belonged to my great-grandfather.

I spend far too much time in front of the television. My current viewing schedule includes an embarrassing number of shows: The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS: Los Angeles, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee, Criminal Minds, Bones, Fringe, Flash Forward, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, and Three Rivers. I seldom have time to watch them all, and there are a great many episodes sitting on my DVR, waiting for me to find a spare moment I can devote to dwindling my expansive unwatched episodes list.

Most of my journal entries relate to:
     · fandom discussion and over-analyzation;
     · movies, tv, music, and theatre;
     · grad school mumblings; and
     · the events of my rather uneventful life.
